Magnificent 7th does animal print!

On the 7th of every month the plus size blogger ladies and I will post an outfit based on a different theme.

The aim of the challenge is to shop our wardrobes and dig deep into the depths to create outfits we probably wouldn't have thought of before!

This month's theme is animal print!

I recently brought this scarf from Zara. They have great scarfs which is suitable for all kinds of weather, and the animal print brings a pop to a quite plain outfit.

Welcome to 29

So Beyonce is not the only person who celebrated their birthday on the 4th September, I did to! Yes, yesterday I reached the ripe old age of 29, the last hurrah of the twenties.

The day was very low key, I spent the day relaxing at home with my husband before going out for a turkish dinner in north London.

The dress I recently brought you've probably seen all over the blogosphere, but after uming and ahhing I decided to get it while on sale (to be honest, I don't think it was worth the original £40).

I started off wearing it without a belt, but it felt slightly...frumpy

Adding a skinny belt definitely helps the dress and defines my figure more!

Dress: ASOS
Shoes: ASOS
Necklace (not shown): New Look
Watch: Michael Kors

We went to a gorgeous Turkish restaurant called Antepliler which is located on Green Lanes in north London. Green Lanes is well known for it's rich Turkish community and there is a multitude of Turkish and Greek restaurants. We went to this particular one on the recommendation of my bestie and it did not disappoint!

Lahmacun! Best way to describe it is Turkish version of a pizza but the bread is very thin and there isn't any cheese. YUMMY!

Mixed grill kebab all made fresh, I could not finish it but it was soooo good!
All the meat was tender and juicy...*drools*

PS. The next post will be from Plus North! Hope to see you there!

Paris!

Well hello there...

Yes, I have been an incredibly crap blogger for the past two months, I have missed style challenges, missed perfect OOTD opportunities and just generally missed connecting with all the fashion blogger lovelies.

So anyhoo, I have been meaning to do this post for over a month now, I had an opportunity to travel to Paris for work back in July and seeing as I had never been to Paris before, I thought I would use the opportunity to see the sights! Enjoy the pics x

What's a trip to Paris without checking out the original Chanel store!

The wonderful pont des arts with the padlocks

Of course hubs and I had to add our own mark!

Skirt: ASOS Curve

Why can't the London underground sign look this edgy!

Life!

Unfortunately, life has gotten in the way and I haven't had time to update my blog in a while.

I do have some exciting news which I hope to share in a few weeks. It's a very exciting time at the moment.

Be back soon.

Love and peace,

Sunday walk

Today hubs and I took a walk by the Thames where we live in London. We recently brought a new Nikon DSLR so decided to test that out.

My new skirt from ASOS (where else?!) is so gorgeous, I never thought it would be possible to love an item of clothing as much as I love this skirt!

I decided to keep the outfit simple, the skirt is definitely the star.

Skirt: ASOS
T-shirt: ASOS Curve
Shoes: Primark

Flash the Flesh

Welcome to another instalment of Flash the Flesh!

When a group of bloggers join together for a chat you know that the final result has to be super!! And so this happened once more when, not long ago, we were talking about our preferences between mini and maxi and Becky of doesmyblogmakemelookfat.com thought that it would be great to create a challenge which goal was to show a little bit more skin and our body (but with style and no vulgarity) showing proudly our curves. And so it was born “Flash the Flesh”.

After the first successful post (which had over 1000 views - thank you!) I decided to go for a more casual outfit which I wore to run my errands today.

Jacket & Necklace: New Look
T-shirt & Shorts: ASOS Curve
Shoes: Converse

Look at my little sausage legs!

Scarlett & Jo

I was recently contacted by Scarlett & Jo to ask if I would be interested trying some of their new dresses from their summer range!

The first dress is a gorgeous red dress with lace detail down the front.

When I first saw the dress, I wasn't sure if it would suit me as it is not my usual style, but after trying it on, I love the dress and how it is cut to nip in at the waist. Not to mention the colour, it's awesome!

I received a size 22. The dress is true to size and is not too clingy, there is also a sewn-in petticoat which creates a smooth silhouette. The sleeves are not too tight but I feel they could've been a little longer, although at 5'3 this may have been an issue!

The lace detail is adorable! I didn't want to add any accessories to it as I wanted the lace to be the main focus. I am wearing it with some cute mary-janes I brought from Topshop a few years back.

This dress would be perfect for parties and would also work great with tights in the colder months.

The second dress is a blue dress style tunic. This piece is very comfortable and would work great for a BBQ or wedding, or with leggings and sandals. The colour is a bright blue, the picture does not do it justice!

Again I received a size 22 which actually came out a little loose, so if you want a tight dress size down and vice versa!

The material is very light which means you won't overheat when cutting shapes on the dance-floor! The sleeves also provide great coverage without being tight.

The detail on the dress is very cute.

Both dresses will be available in June from www.evans.co.uk.

Flash The Flesh!

Hello out there!

When the idea came about I instantly knew which part of my body I wanted to flash...

Top: Dress from ASOS
Maxi skirt: ASOS Curve
Gold chain: no clue!

Instead of using a crop top, I decided to take a simple black dress and turn it into a crop top with some pizazz at the back.

I love the fact that I am covered up everywhere else but the one place I constantly try to cover up.
